David Woodward is a specialist management consultant who has assisted private and public businesses, government and community agencies in various capacities for over two decades.
David has extensive experience in organisational arrangements, particularly human resources, business systems, resource management and operational processes, and how they can be best aligned to help effectively deliver successful business outcomes. In addition, David consults in the areas of strategic management and organisational change, business and strategic planning, corporate governance, resource management, business process re-engineering and contract management.
David is widely recognised for the provision of expert but practical advice, largely earned through the experience of holding senior positions within various government agencies. This includes holding the positions of Acting Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the then Victorian Attorney General’s Department, and Director Resources with the then Victorian Department of Planning and Housing. He has also held senior positions within a former entity of the now Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance.
Some of his more significant work includes:
- working on the transfer of Victoria’s corporations powers to the Commonwealth under the Kennett Government
- co-ordinating the reconstruction of Victoria’s non-bank financial institutions following the collapse of several building societies and other related entities, and
- public sector-wide reforms around budget and resource management, and organisational change.
These senior roles have provided David with a wealth of experience that has proved invaluable in the provision of practical and workable solutions to clients. They have also allowed David to form a strong understanding of the often sensitive nature of the work he undertakes, and he has used this understanding to build many strong, trusting and lasting client relationships.
Since joining HLB Mann Judd in 1996, David has worked closely with both private organisations and public sector bodies and built a strong reputation for his ability to deliver effective solutions to clients, forged through an extensive and significant breadth of experience.
