Greg Mascaro possesses over 10 years professional experience in taxation consulting. With the early part of his career spent with mid to large-sized accounting firms and the Australian Taxation Office, Greg joined HLB Mann Judd in 2002 and is a Partner within our Tax Consulting division.
Greg’s time with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has provided him with a singular and deep understanding of the various complexities that are part and parcel of Australia’s taxation regime. His time with the ATO included periods working within the Large Business and International cell, where he assisted in the preparation of ATO Tax Rulings as well as providing corporate and international tax advice to large corporate taxpayers.
While his knowledge is broadly centred around advising on corporate taxation issues – such as the tax implications relating with new ventures, organisational restructures, and mergers and acquisitions – he also possesses a significant appreciation of international taxation matters. While many of Greg’s clients are ASX-listed groups, he has additionally advised a wide range of high net worth individuals, family groups and private businesses.
Greg is recognised as a technically thorough practitioner, capable of providing practical outcomes within short timeframes. In particular, he is known for his proactive approach and for his ability to become a driving force behind the successful outcome of many tax-driven projects.
Greg is a sought-after presenter to speaker forums convened by various industry groups including the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the taxation Institute of Australia, a role that recognises his strong standing amongst his peers as a highly capable authority on taxation matters.
