Barry is the head of the Business Recovery and Insolvency team at HLB Mann Judd Sydney. Having practiced in the area of Business Recovery & Insolvency for over 35 years, he is one of the countries most experienced practitioners.
From 1989 to 2006 he was a Partner in a firm recognised as one of Australia's leading Insolvency and Reconstruction practices. He has extensive experience in providing advice on and acting in relation to, voluntary administration, deeds of company arrangement, liquidations, receiverships and personal insolvency.
Barry has appeared as an expert witness in numerous legal proceedings including the Supreme Courts of NSW and the ACT as well as New York, USA. He has also had experience with cross border insolvency's in the jurisdictions of the USA, South America, Western Europe and New Zealand.
In 1997 he was the first official liquidator appointed to a superannuation trust company and has considerable expertise in working with trustees and regulators.
A major focus of Barry's practice is in the reconstructing and rehabilitation of SME's.
