Carolyn Patman commenced her career with Priestley & Morris in 1989, which later merged with HLB Mann Judd in 1993. She became a Director of the firm in 2006.
Carolyn has built an enviable reputation for work within and across a wide variety of small publicly listed businesses from various industry sectors. This work has most particularly included corporate secretarial work, where she has attended board meetings, assisted the board to comply with considerable regulatory requirements, and assisted with the preparation of half-yearly and annual reports.
For small and medium sized enterprises she has advised on the sourcing, implementation and supporting of business finance software. This work has typically included managing internal training programs for relevant finance staff.
She has also worked closely with small family-owned private businesses from a range of industry sectors, with significant experience in assisting these businesses to implement appropriate corporate structures, including often complex taxation arrangements.
Carolyn is widely known for building strong, long term relationships with her clients, many of whom have worked with her through several years and generational changes. In particular, she appreciates the need to properly understand the interpersonal dynamics that are often an integral part of being able to successfully work within a family-owned business.
