Todd Gammel delivers a formidable 15 years of insolvency experience to the Business Recovery team at HLB Mann Judd.
Joining the firm in 2011, Todd adds a valuable skill-set to the firm’s Business Recovery division. He brings with him a range of experience that spans boutique insolvency firms through to some of Australia’s largest practices including seven years with one of the ‘‘big four’’ firms, five of which were in an Account Director role.
Some of Todd’s most significant projects centred on the successful realisation of more than $100 million in property assets ranging from undeveloped land in south east Queensland and the New South Wales south coast, through to residential, commercial and industrial properties in western Sydney.
Todd lead the team on a recent profitability review of a leading hotel group, which resulted in identifying cost savings and other practical options to improve the venture’s profitability and strategy delivery.
Demonstrating his versatility and ‘hands on’ approach, Todd has also managed the completion of a 7-storey regional resort development from interim occupancy through to opening and operation. More recently, Todd’s skills proved instrumental in the management and sale of Australia’s largest privately owned bus operator.
Highly regarded for his ability to identify and achieve commercial resolutions, Todd’s key strength lies in is his ability to develop clear strategies that appeal to a cross-section of stakeholders, allowing a project to move forward. He has a strong ethos of maintaining clear lines of communication at all times, something that his clients clearly value.
Business Recovery
Todd’s expertise as an insolvency practitioner encompasses both formal and informal insolvency matters. He has participated in administrations, deed of company arrangements, receiverships, property appointments and members and creditors liquidations. Todd has also played an integral role in investigating accountant reviews, cost reduction reviews, dispute assessment and mediation and monitoring arrangements. He has worked across a spectrum of industries spanning property, construction, hospitality, transport, professional service firms plus wholesale and retail trade sectors.
