This checklist has been prepared by HLB Mann Judd to guide you in determining the items we might need from you to prepare your income tax return. With respect to your income, please be mindful that the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has the ability to check your income against independent sources, including PAYG Payment Summaries, interest earned and dividends received, for example. With respect to deductions, please remember that in the event of an ATO audit you will need to be able to substantiate any deductions claimed. This list is not exhaustive so please provide us any additional information you may feel is relevant.
