The importance of good governance is widely recognised as a fundamental requirement for any organisation, including Not for Profits, however creating a culture that enables high performance of governance can be challenging. This session will explore how an organisation can shift the traditional view of governance from one of ‘red tape’ to a ‘value add’ for an organisation and its stakeholders. Tahlia will present some practical strategies to assist organisations to further embed good governance practises into their corporate culture to reduce risk and drive performance.
Tahlia Jones is a WA-based governance professional who has over 15 years’ experience in local and state governments across community, regional development, health and disability portfolios. Tahlia is passionate about the benefits of good governance and has extensive experience with embedding improved practises for governance, compliance and risk.
