On Friday 9 October, HLB came together to support COVID-19 recovery in local communities for #HLBCommunities Day.

The HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association participated in the corporate social responsibility global initiative. HLB Mann Judd collectively volunteered 2,223 hours through 117 participants across 7 community projects.

The Australian firms took part in several different projects to help the homeless and youth on the streets by packing backpacks and care packs.

The staff in Fiji partnered with local community organisations to clean up the streets of Nadi Town as well as plant mangroves to mitigate climate change.

HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association chair, Tony Fittler, says the day was just one example of the global network working together in recognition of the greater good.

“We have all been impacted by COVID-19 however there are some in our communities who are doing it tougher than others. #HLBCommunities Day is an excellent initiative by HLB and we enjoy giving back.”

Mr Fittler expressed his thanks to firms in the Australasian network for their support, particularly to the team in Melbourne.

“Our people in Melbourne had to be a little more creative this year due to the state’s lockdown measures and safety precautions. We appreciate that they came together virtually to show support for #HLBCommunties Day.”

Globally, the HLB network collectively volunteered 7,393 hours through 1,111 participants across 31 community projects.
